Tarpon are found in both marine and freshwater ecosystems, north to Canada and south to Brazil. They have been observed feeding both day and night on a range of fish and crustaceans. Tarpon have relatively small teeth and tend to swallow their prey whole.

Sharks and dolphins.
Tarpon are capable of living in both marine and freshwater ecosystems. They are also capable of living in oxygen-poor environments because of their ability to breathe by gulping air at the surface.
